The Discseel® procedure is a minimally invasive treatment designed to address spinal disc degeneration and related back pain. It uses a specialized injectable solution to seal and repair damaged spinal discs, potentially avoiding the need for traditional back surgery.

During the procedure, a small catheter is inserted into the affected disc(s) through a tiny incision in the skin. A solution is then injected into the disc to seal tears and reduce inflammation. This helps restore the disc’s structure and function, relieving pain and improving mobility.

No, the Discseel® procedure is not a traditional surgery. It is a minimally invasive treatment that does not require large incisions or long recovery times. It is performed with local anesthesia or sedation and usually takes less than an hour.

The procedure is primarily used to treat conditions related to spinal disc degeneration, including disc tears, herniated discs, and disc-related back pain. It may also be beneficial for individuals who have failed to respond to conservative treatments like physical therapy or injections.
